We normally take in abandoned children and orphans. Periodically, some relatives or parents bring us their children because they have no means to ensure their subsistence. These children are always welcomed and taken care of by the organization. Notably, we have at our disposal a school, teachers, nurses and accommodations where the children live and are provided for by the mission. We provide for them fully until they reach adulthood or until they can ?fly with their own wings?- manage on their own. Soeurs R?mptrices de Nazareth receives about 400 to 500 children a year.
Sister Dona also tries as much as possible to frame(supervise) the relatives(parents) of the children that She's helping to integrate the society, to find some work, etc. …
The organisation survives thanks to the generosity of the donors that Sister Dona meets during her frequent trips abroad to Canada and the United States. She offers and asks everyone she comes across for their support of only a $1 to “save a child’s life in Haiti“. The monies collected is used to pay employees, buy food, medicine, linens and clothing, school supplies and to meet other daily needs of the children.
